Be a flier not a flapper….

The other day I was observing some chickens. All pecking harmlessly around the place and then suddenly a commotion is stirred up and they all start flapping their wings, yet their two feet remain on the ground. Essentially these creatures can’t fly – so what’s all the wing flapping about, I ask myself. as I think about this we often busy ourselves, as humans, doing / trying to do the things we are not made to do. We want to fly and we will when we busy ourselves in the areas of ‘can do.’ There is nothing more beautiful than seeing someone doing something they are made to do….a little like the heron flying low over the sun-drenched water glade.
